Anyone who only spends 11% of their wages due to some idealised concept of ‘frugality’ is an idiot. 90% of your income is a masochistic, insane amount of money to save, akin to Scrooge McDuck hoarding his money in a giant vault.
According to their post the couple already owns an apartment (bought with a government housing loan). While it’s feasible that they could be saving in preparation for having
kids kid, would you want to grow up with parents who haven’t had any fun in years and will always resent you for it?
The couple have lunch provided by their employers, only buy discounted food, and visit their parents’ on weekends. They live within walking distance from their work, and buy clothes either from street vendors or online. They are, most probably, incredibly boring people to be friends with, always interrupting your epic story about getting smashed in an expensive club to tell about their latest bargain.
