Last weekend saw Hong Kong’s 4th annual LGBT Pride Parade, which ran from Victoria Park to Chater Garden in downtown Hong Kong. The 4,000+ marchers were campaigning against workplace discrimination and for the legalisation of gay marriage.
During the parade, Hong Kong pop musician Denise Ho publicly came out as gay, saying she regretted not doing so sooner. “As a celebrity, I think I have an obligation, a duty to stand forward for the sake of love and equality.”
The parade was led by Hong Kong’s first openly gay legislator, Raymond Chan.
