Italian Kitchen closes: Discovering that Italian Kitchen recently closed kicked us in the stomach. It was a favorite haunt of ours and one of those rare Western restaurants in Shanghai that put its money where its mouth was and actually served both affordable and delicious food. The pizzas ranked among the best in town, the prices were a public service and the owners, Lee and Stu, some of the most honest, down-to-earth people in the biz. We wish them the best of luck in future ventures.
