The Guangzhou Yuan Building, also known as the Copper Coin Building, is officially completed.
Located on the Pearl River Bridge, the structure, designed by Joseph di Pasquale is 138 meters high and has a total of 33 floors. With a total investment of 10 billion yuan, the construction lasted 3 years.
“The jade disc isn’t just beautiful, but also represents power, wealth and fantasy in Chinese culture,” said the manager of the architecture firm.
The structure joins the ranks of some other extravagant gold buildings in China such as the golden Sheraton hotel and the Beijing penis tower.
Power, wealth and fantasy.
