This woman really took the police for a ride when she drove a mile with a police officer lying on the hood of her BMW Z4 sports car. The incident, which took place in Zhengzhou, Henan province, was recorded for posterity (and hilarity) by the police officer’s helmet camera.
The woman was originally pulled over for jumping a red light and for not having licence plates, Henanese police demonstrating more vigour since the national government tightened traffic laws. When she refused to step out of the car and present her driver’s licence the policeman refused to let her escape despite endangering his life.
“I’ll get off when you get out!”
The woman’s car was eventually hemmed in by other drivers until more police arrived. Meanwhile the woman’s husband had the cheek to demand to see the policeman’s work permit.
Police eventually clamped her car and arrested the woman. She isn’t the only difficult driver law enforcement officers have had to deal with lately.
