Wahaha CEO and very rich person Zong Qinghou was in the UK in February, where, like a Chinese Justin Bieber, he rocked the stuffy British establishment, snubbing dinner invitations from Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister David Cameron.
“The queen invited [me] for February 6; the prime minister invited [me] for the 12th. Lunar New Year was on the 9th,” Zong told China Entrepreneur Magazine. “Should I have flown for more then 10 hours, eat and travel back, then fly once again, eat and fly back?” he asked. “That doesn’t make any sense.”
Those opium peddling colonialists should have known better than to invite a loose cannon like Zong to dinner around Lunar New Year. David Cameron especially, should feel pretty embarrassed for inviting a Chinese dignitary and member of parliament to Downing Street’s annual Chinese New Year Reception, that doesn’t make any sense.
According to Patrick Boehler at the SCMP, the Court Circular, which lists royal engagements, did not contain any mention of a prospective dinner with Zong on February 6. So, like, the Queen totally didn’t want to meet him anyway, God guys, give it a rest.
