At least the Shanghai fakers had the decency to hide the fact that they were using rat meat. CNTV News’s official Weibo account reports on this story from a Zhejiang high school.
A student who bought fried rice was shocked to discover the head of a rat in his food. He soon uploaded the nauseating photo seen here. Reports suggest that the school compensated the student with four eggs.
This month it was revealed that rat, fox, and mink meat was being sold as lamb in Shanghai. Shanghaiist also published this video that teaches you how to create fake meat at home. Referring to the Zhejiang rat head, netizens asked: “where is the rest of the rat?”
