Six elementary school girls who went missing last Wednesday in Hainan province, sending their teachers and parents into panic, have been found. However, according to Legal Today, the girls had been kidnapped by their elementary school principal and one other government official who allegedly sexually assaulted them.
When the girls were found they all looked drowsy. Doctors reported varying levels of injury to their lower bodies. Some girls even have scars on their skin. According to surveillance video, four girls were kept in two rooms at a local hotel. Footage also showed the principal entering one room at night and leaving from the other next morning.
The police arrested the principal and the government official involved in this case for investigation. The tweet reporting this news has already been reposted by tens of thousands on Weibo, provoking outrage nationwide.
Update May 15: According to reports on Weibo, local police claim the principal and the other government official did not have sex with the six kidnapped girls.
However, the parents of the girls have cast doubt on the police investigation. Parents of five of the girls found their daughters’ hymens to be broken, and one of the girl’s underwear appeared to have semen stains in it. The news is currently trending on Weibo as netizens wonder which side is lying.
