Around 100,000 people* gathered in Victoria Park in Hong Kong on Tuesday night for the annual candlelit vigil to remember the Tiananmen Square massacre of 24 years ago.
Unfortunately, torrential rain forced organisers to stop proceedings an hour earlier than planned, SCMP reports. Scheduled speeches by Wang Dan and Li Wanling were not broadcast.

*Police estimated the crowd to be 56,000 strong, organisers claimed 150,000 attendees, the true number likely lies somewhere between.
