Canada Day: Bash at the Beach @ Bund Beach
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce celebrates 146 years of Canadian-ness since the country’s founding in 1867. CanCham will be celebrating by making people eat watermelons really quickly in a watermelon eating contest. There will also be a volleyball tournament, live music by Hello Money, lucky draws to win a round trip with Air Canada and a corner to deposit any pesky children you might happen to own.

BEAN Documentary Screening @ The Apartment
1428 is a documentary about the 2008 earthquake in Sichuan, focussing on the 69,000 casualties that devastated the town of Wenchuan. The film primarily charts the efforts of the local community in rescuing women and children from the rubble in the days following the quake. The screening is free to attend.
