The Art of Wu Wei @ Island6
The Art of Wu Wei can be translated to, “the art of being an action that takes no action”. This sounds like conflicted nonsense to me. But perhaps this is because Wu Wei is, “a response that falls into place only if there is universal harmony”. Take one last look at how Liu Dao combines Shan Shui and traditional paper cutting techniques with LED lights to forge universal harmony between technological-man in his environment. It’s playful, inspiring, and looks good.

Illustration of Literature @ Gallery 6, Long Museum
This Lianhuanhua exhibition features a sequence of drawings that tell a complete story or a series and is a very accessible art form. The fact that these ‘serial-pictures’ denote children’s-book illustrations makes this exhibition very suitable for kids. Oscar Wilde’s The Giant and The Happy Prince are featured with illustrations by the painter Wang Xiangming. The Red Army Bridge, A Rat’s Wedding, Brother Donkey, Golden Pumpkin & Silver Bean, The Story of Yugong to Move the Mountains, Perseverance Will Prevail and many other peculiar sounding titles can also be found.
