A woman who attended a matchmaking event where she was told she would be meeting wealthy men in search of a wife told the Beijing News that many of the men “were just looking for sex”.
“The man said he was married, and started touching my hands. He said he could give me a Beetle car if I was willing to ‘accompany’ him,” Tang [Miaomiao] said.
The suggestion that she should be his sexual partner in return for expensive gifts so appalled her that she grabbed a cup and smashed it on the floor. The CEO made a quick exit.
Tang told the newspaper that she had never taken part in a similar event since. “It is so disgusting because they just want to sleep with you,” she said.
I for one am shocked that men, men, would act like this. Men are normally so scrupulous and honest with women about their desires, never resorting to skeevy tricks and lies just to get laid.
That one of these men was apparently married makes the story all the more shocking, as no wealthy married man has ever cheated on his wife before.
Authorities had to step in to regulate online dating sites after several women reported being conned by men they met online.
