When not accusing the US of being the most corrupt country on earth or lamenting the soft hand of Chinese law enforcement, Jackie Chan likes to taunt the pollution-riddled residents of China’s capital.
The photo above (left), taken by Chan in Beijing on August 3rd, was posted to Weibo with the caption:
I took the picture myself. Who says Beijing doesn’t have blue sky? Look how blue the sky is and how green the land is…
Now, granted, that is a blue sky. But Beijing is the city that has seen its tourism statistics drop like a rock because of air quality concerns, and which has had “Unhealthy” levels of pollution every other day since January (see the image on the right).
In other words, Jackie Chan should take Weibo-shots out of his window more often, and see if a year’s worth of Beijing air will still impress him with “how blue the sky is.”
