Jellyfish, evil gelatinous creatures hell bent on the destruction of humanity, attacked a beach in Jiangsu province on Friday, Shanghai Daily reports.
Nearly 20 people were stung by jellyfish yesterday at Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province – including seven who were treated and released by a hospital, and one who had extensive stings and was admitted for further treatment, Yangtze Evening News reported today.
“It felt like I got an electric shock, itchy and painful. I ran to the shore and found my right foot red and [swollen],” one victim told reporters.
This incident marks the emergence of a horrifying new tactic in the jellyfish’s war on humankind: suicide attacks.
[The] jellyfish appeared to have been dismembered for an unknown reason in the sea and tentacles washed up at the beach.
Beach administrators have promised to cover the medical bills those stung.
Jellyfish kill 15-30 times more people each year than sharks.
