According to Xinhua, 2.64 million people have been left without drinking water in Guizhou due to severe droughts. Meanwhile, communities in northeastern China have entirely the opposite problem: persistent rain has caused flooding and direct economic losses of over six billion yuan.
Giving these natural disasters an extra Old Testament vibe, a plague of locusts is reportedly sweeping through central China, devastating bamboo forests there.
Just saying, the apocalypse may very well be happening as you read this. Be on the lookout for horsemen and/or zombies.
