Pity be to those who planned on traveling to or from Hong Kong this week; more than 350 flights have been cancelled or delayed from Hong Kong International as a result of Typhoon Utor, which hit the city this morning. Banks, the stock market, and schools were also shut down for most of the day, but are now beginning to resume business.
Overall, the city was ready for the storm, and was left relatively unscathed. The Wall Street Journal cited “21 fallen trees and minor flooding” and six were hospitalized, but no one has been seriously injured.
Utor left at least three dead in the Philippines while en route to Hong Kong.
