SCAA Pet of the Month: Bai Bai
My name might not be very original for a fluffy white cat, but I’m a very unique feline. I’m single and prefer it that way. Have you been thinking of getting a cat but worried about leaving your pet alone during the workday, boredom, behavior problems, and how one cat could easily lead to two cats “to keep each other company”? Worry no more as I’m the ideal single cat. I’ve been fostered with other cats before and tolerate them well enough, but when I’m the focus of your feline attention I’m a decidedly more outgoing, attention-seeking and affectionate guy. If I’m enough for you, you’re enough for me.
I’ve been in foster care just over a year, after my sister and I were rescued as tiny kittens struggling to survive in a downtown garden. My sister was adopted ages ago and my foster family is surprised a gorgeous guy like me hasn’t been snapped up yet.
Healthcare History: Treated for fleas (Revolution) and worms (Milbemax), vaccinated (Fel-O-Guard feline virus and rabies) and neutered at SCAA’s vet partner, PAW.
Ideal Home: A proven gentle, quiet, curious, and affectionate cat, especially when other cats aren’t around to steal the limelight, Bai Bai is best suited as a single pet and would do well in most home environments. He’s been fostered by a family and bonds well with teens, but toddlers might be too active for him. Within a week of moving house, Bai Bai is bravely welcoming face rubs – a good thing as his soft fur is hard to resist.
For more information on giving Bai Bai a forever home, please visit SCAA’s website, contact [email protected] or visit Adoption Day on Sunday, August 18th at Shanghai Brewery (15 Dongping lu, at Hengshan lu) // (东平路15号, 近衡山路) from 11AM – 1PM
