EVA Air’s mission to saturate the world’s skies with Hello Kitty emblazoned planes has gained another continent. The Taiwanese carrier announced this week that it will be sending its cartoon-covered aircraft to Los Angeles from September 18.
The Taipei-Los Angeles route will be the first to use a Boeing 777-300ER plane featuring the Japanese cat, previous routes have been served by (smaller) Airbus A330s.
A “special group comprising passengers who are Hello Kitty fans” will be invited to take part in the maiden flight, where they will meet the feline greeter’s designer Yuko Yamaguchi.
If you feel like making your eyes bleed, you can find more information about the Hello Kitty airline on its official website.
