An enterprising homeless man in Suzhou took to sleeping on top of a 25 metre high billboard, the breeze giving him some respite from the summer’s oppressive heat.
According to People’s Daily, the man is from Jiangxi province and around 30 years old. He came to Suzhou to work in an electronics factory but left that job and now survives by collecting rubbish. He had previously been sleeping under a flyover, but the heat and the mosquitoes drove him up the billboard.
The advertising company which owned the space wasn’t too impressed however, they sawed off the bottom of the ladder leading up the billboard on August 21.
