Increasingly compromised freelance diplomat Dennis Rodman left North Korea on Friday. Speaking to reporters in Beijing, Rodman called dictator Kim Jong-un his ‘friend for life’.
Though many people had speculated — because Rodman himself said so — that he would lobby for the release of jailed American missionary Kenneth Bae, the former NBA star reacted angrily when reporters asked him about negotiations with Kim.
“Guess what? That’s not my job to ask about Kenneth Bae. Ask Obama about that. Ask Hillary Clinton. Ask those assholes.”
Rodman also defended his increasingly close relationship with Kim — who, it is worth pointing out, oversees a massive gulag system in which political prisoners are beaten, tortured, and starved to death — saying that the dictator is his “friend for life”.
“I don’t care what you guys think about him. I don’t give a shit what people around the world think about him,” Rodman said. “He’s my friend, and you saw it on the pictures, he’s my friend.”
Rodman’s friend is alleged to have ordered the execution by firing squad of his ex-girlfriend in August, reportedly for making an incredibly tame ‘sex tape’ in which she danced to an Elvis Presley song in a leotard.
