Chili cook-off: Bubba’s 8th annual chili cook-off takes place on September 21 at the Cool Docks! So whether you’re the defending Chili Cook-off champ or someone who’s experience is limited to microwaving a can of Campbell’s Chili, come on down and try your hand. Full list of rules and regulations here. Those not in the competition are welcome to spectate, slosh beer, and chow on BBQ!

Sideways….Pinot Noir Night at Pata Negra: On September 17, Shanghai’s finest ham and wine lounge Pata Negra is hosting wine experts Gaylen Richardson from Vintage Grape Selections and David Duckhorn from Via Pacifica. They’ll be overseeing a pairing dinner with Pinot Noir and its match made in tippler’s heaven, duck.
