A giant lantern-sculpture composed of 7,000 recycled plastic water bottles filled with LED lights will be on display in Hong Kong’s Victoria Park in celebration of Mid-Autumn festival. The lantern measures 20 meters in diameter (65 feet), and up to 100 visitors at a time will be able to walk inside of the structure when it is up and running on September 19th.
If the past holds any clues, expect Beijing to host a bigger, albeit shoddier, version of the sculpture sometime soon.
