Four amusement park workers in Shanghai’s Qingpu district took two bumper cars for a joyride on Tuesday, Shanghai Daily reports.
The four men went on a ride on the electric-powered cars near Huaqing Road and Gongyuan Road on Tuesday.
Fortunately, they did not bump into anybody or other cars during their freak outing. Police are investigating the incident, but made it clear that bumper cars are not allowed on public roads.
Photos of the bumper cars were posted online, the vehicles were reportedly using the cycle lanes but crossing intersections “like normal cars”. No word on whether they were throwing shells or bananas at each other.
