In today’s edition of ‘news to make you feel entirely inadequate and utterly untalented,’ is a 13 year old roller skating champion from Shenzhen who can do things on her rollerblades that will make you smile in wonderment, cry with envy.
The middle school student, named Feng Hui, never even wore a pair of roller-skates until she was nine years old. In just three years’ time, Feng went on to win the National Championships, the Asia Championships and the World Championships in freestyle rollerskating.
In June, Feng also won three gold medals in the 11th Freestyle Rollerskating Open in Paris.
While some of us at her age were still trying to relearn how to walk after puberty mangled our bodies, Feng said she was initially just trying to charm audiences with her rollerskating skills.
