Tourists visiting the Liaoning World Expo in Jinzhou have broken the attraction’s novelty robotic tour guide with their grabby, groping hands. And here’s where it gets really Inception-esque: the robotic girl, meant to be a substitute for real people, will now be replaced by real people acting like robots substituting real people. Or something.
According to photos posted on SX Daily, the robotic beauty has been broken due to tourists who can’t refrain themselves from making ‘intimate contact’ with her while posing for photos.
Now, the lovely robot tour guide will have to be retired and replaced with non-robot (boring) tour guides.
Never having been to the Liaoning World Expo, I can’t say for certain that the robot tour guide was a main attraction of the site (it probably was), but I just can’t imagine a real human-being filling the void of the somewhat futuristic robo-girl for tourists.
We’ll miss you, robo-girl.
