Ugh, this would never happen in first class. On a plane arriving from Hong Kong to China’s Xiamen Airport, inspectors found 11 rats hiding under a seat in business class, reportedly the most rats quarantine authorities have ever found on an inbound plane.
The inspectors first found a rat’s nest under one of the seats in business class containing “10 suckling rat pups” on September 30. The cabin was immediately closed and the airport launched a public health emergency plan.
The mother rat was found the next day in the same cabin. Fortunately, no viruses were left behind by the rodents.
