China’s favorite basketballer/action figure/panda-hugger, Jeremy Lin, is auctioning off a single basketball shoe for thousands of dollars, with the proceeds going to a local Down’s Syndrome Foundation.
Lin is the first Taiwanese-American to play in the NBA and wore the red Nike Hyperdunk during an NBA pre-season game in Taipei last week. Lin autographed the shoe and gave it to a local celebrity, who in turn donated it to the foundation for auctioning.
At time of publishing, there have been 15 bids with the highest hitting $10,000.
