It looks like the buyer of the 1.28 million RMB gold toilet in Hainan finally has something to wipe with. Aussie company Toilet Paper Man has developed 22-karat toilet paper worth over 8 million yuan, making it the most expensive toilet paper in the world.
The website claims:
“As you use the toilet paper 22-carat gold flakes will fall onto the floor and your behind taking you to another level of sophistication. We have only been able to produce one roll at this stage. Naturally it comes gift wrapped. This is 100 per cent useable and safe and made proudly in Australia.”
Though it may not be so safe for those working at the waste-water treatment plant when the buildup of gold causes a pipe to burst and give employees a “golden shower.” Or maybe this isn’t the kind of toilet paper one simply flushes down the toilet.
The shiny shit roll comes with a free bottle of champagne, whose gold bottleneck foil hopefully isn’t made with the recycled toilet paper.
The golden bog roll apparently has yet to see a purchase, but maybe they’re not branching out enough. Perhaps they should also consider firewood made from 100 yuan notes, panda-fur condoms, or live baby seals that you towel off with after showering.
