Meet Ni Linmei, a 57-year-old woman from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province whose hair measures 2.9 meters, longer than Yao Ming is tall. Ni hasn’t cut her hair for 16 years and reportedly spends two hours a day washing and drying it.
Ni says she might cut her it soon as it’s a hassle to maintain, so fellow villagers are clamoring to get photos with the magnificent mane while they still can. But even if she let it grow for longer it would be a while before it matched the world record 5.6-meter locks of fellow Chinese woman Xie Qiuping, who hasn’t had a haircut since 1973. We seriously hope she stays away from bike gears and cotton candy machines.
