Citizens in Chengde, Hebei Province captured footage of what appeared to be three suns in the NW China sky on Friday, which would’ve been freaking awesome/terrifying! But according to
fun spoilers scientists, it was actually not three suns, but a halo of light formed when sun rays are refracted and reflected through water particles in the atmosphere, causing a simultaneous halo and rainbow effect. More on that here.
