Kunming doesn’t need to resort to flashy golden buildings or penis-shaped towers to turn heads. This giant mobile phone-shaped building on Ring Road (heh) in Kunming, Yunnan Province may be modestly designed, but it has gained public attention since being built and is considered by many to be a landmark of Kunming.
The 11-floor building has buttons as windows and a cluster of office windows serving as a giant screen. “The building has been a head-turner in the Yunnan capital,” according to CRIEnglish.com”, “Lately, many cities are erecting feature buildings, which don unique designs. The ‘cell phone building’ is sure to be something of a landmark for Kunming.”
