Crowds formed, kicks flew, and heads were paper-bagged on Sunday when an ostrich was found wandering about a Zhengzhou gas station. Local heroes eventually subdued the giant bird by cramming its head into a lunch bag and tying it to a tricycle, upon which it was driven away and not even eaten.

These images are from Dahe.cn, who have been trying their damndest to locate the source of the rampaging ostrich, yet calls to the Zhengzhou Ostrich Farm (I’m not kidding) have been unfruitful.
[UPDATED: Apparently the ostrich escaped after it was brought to a temple to “amuse the local children” and got spooked by the crowd.]
