Northeast China’s worst snowstorm in more half a century has continued to cover Harbin, Heilongjiang province, with over 60 hours’ worth of thick, icy snow, CRI reports.
Since Saturday, Harbin has seen an average daily snowfall of 11.4 mm, the highest level since weather recording began in 1961. Over 50,000 people were mobilized to clear the snow, with residents, police and volunteers all lending a helping hand.
The neighboring Jilin Province continued to see heavy snow, reaching as thick as 65cm.
