Last year, the case of a Taiwanese man who hosted a sex party on a train with 25 people, some as young as 17, became a media sensation. After sitting on trial for over a year, a judge has now sentenced the man six months in prison for sex crimes.
Aside from the host, Xu (alias), participants included 18 male customers, 2 female assistants, 3 male provost officers disguised, and a female leading character named Yu, who was later confirmed as being underage. At least half of the customers engaged in sexual activities with Yu, including Xu.
According to reports, Xu gathered everyone on a train car and locked the door before the leading character Yu appeared dressed as an office worker to match the mens’ sexual fantasy.
Why a train? Xu said he got the inspiration from a Japanese term ‘midnight sleazy train’ (电车痴汉), referrring to men who take advantage of girls in public. It’s synonymous with public sexual harassment.
What shocked people most about the case was that the underage girl volunteered herself to the sex party and lied about being 19.
“If I can make guys’ dreams come true with my body, why not? It is not a big deal to me anyway,” Yu was quoted as saying.
While Xu was sentenced to prison for six month, each of the 18 male participants received NT$1800 fines.
