So many Rs. Event organizers yesterday released the route for the city’s first-ever Shanghai New Year 10k race, wherein some 7,000 participants will compete in Pudong’s New Area on January first to break in the New Year holiday. Runners can still sign up online!
The race, organized by the Shanghai Sports Bureau, starts off at 8 a.m. from the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. Runners will pass Yaolong Road, Shibo Avenue, Houtan Park, Shanghai Art Museum, and the Mercedes Arena before finishing off at Bocheng Road.
For those who claim to experience that ever-elusive “runner’s high”: 2014 Shanghai New Year 10k race applications can be found online at www.shmarathon.com (application only available through Chinese-language site now) and must be completed before Monday. Entry fee is 30 yuan.
