The Chongqing public security special police held drills at the city’s fire department training base on December 20 and SWAT team members showed off abilities including tactical shooting, extreme physical endurance, emergency stick fencing, tactical sign language, rope climbing, and unarmed combat.
According to reporters present, SWAT team members tested on their tactical shooting had to break through 6 rotating eggs from 100 meters away with only one bullet. The drill was called “an arrow through the heart”.
In the extreme endurance course, police jumped through flaming rings and pulled nearly 20 tons of armored vehicles with traction rope, among other drills.
During emergency stick fencing combat drills, SWAT team members practiced subduing their opponent holding various weapons and were also tested on their control of a hijack situation.
Other drills tested rope climbing, speed driving and escape tactics.
