Guo Meimei, the delightful little girl who greedily stole from people by advertising herself as the Red Cross but actually padding her Maserati fund, is making a stupid movie about her stupid life.
Guo hasn’t been in the headlines much lately, despite her worst efforts, only popping up occasionally to star in weird money-supercar-sex-scandals or to cause blood shortages at the Red Cross. The film sounds like a perfect opportunity for her ego to run wild, which is why Guo has chosen to write, direct, and star in the whole flick herself, as China Daily reports:
Guo told the paper the movie would portray her life from when she was 17 years old and explain why she used the Red Cross name.
“I have always dreamed of being an actress and some things in the past negatively affected me a lot. So someone suggested I make a film of myself and explain the ‘mystery’ of my previous life,” the paper quoted Guo as saying.
Going out on a limb here, but out of the potential Chinese films for next year’s Cannes Film Festival, one can’t help but think that Guo’s “that time I scammed a bunch of people and bought a car” video won’t make the shortlist.
