More than 13,000 bottles of imported red wine from Spain were publicly destroyed in Zhengzhou, Henan province by workers who poured each one of the bottles and its precious liquid contents into an inflatable swimming pool under the watchful eyes of passersby.
According to reports, the wine didn’t meet the receiving business’ standard requirements of transport and there were concerns that the temperature may have affected the taste, thus not bringing the best experience to the consumers. However, there was no problem with the quality standards of the wine. The bottles were also destroyed so that they could not re-enter the market.
Very sad indeed.
