Lindsay Lohan may have become the victim of an extortion plot following the theft of her laptop at Shanghai’s Pudong Internationl Airport.
Radar quotes an source ostensibly “close” to Lohan, claiming “It’s an extortion plot, plan and simple. They were able to access her computer immediately.” In fact, the laptop thieves even reportedly wrote Lohan’s very diplomatic (and now deleted) post-theft tweet, reading “It was great to be in China and I want to thank everyone for their hospitality, however someone has stolen my computer at the airport… offering a reward for anyone who can retrieve and rtn it, bummer to go home w/o it. Xo L.”
Lohan’s “close” friend added that the laptop thieves have already contacted the actress, requesting money for the return of the laptop sans leakage of her naked photos and other assorted Lohan-insanity memorabilia onto the internet. Meanwhile, Lohan’s management is apparently desperately attempting to “wipe the computer remotely, but they have not had any luck yet,” giving hope to the perverted among Lohan’s fans everywhere.
