A father and son have been arrested in connection to the murder of a German man who was stabbed to death at a popular hotpot restaurant in Shanghai in December.
The 34-year-old man German citizen was reportedly dining at the Haidilao hotpot restaurant in the Pudong New Area with a woman on December 13 when a man burst into the eatery and began brutally stabbing him.
Witnesses said that the attack had lasted around five minutes until the restaurant’s staff intervened.
Police said that a father and son, surnamed Wu, from Shandong province have been arrested in connection to the killing. The men believed that the son’s wife was having an affair with the German man, according to the officials.
