Several areas in northern China saw the first snowfall of the winter during the Chinese New Year holiday. Most of these lovely snowscapes were snapped in Lesser Kinghan Mountains of China’s Heilongjiang province and Shanxi province’s Pingyao ancient city. Winter wonderland-esque.
Beijing likewise saw its first snow of the season after waiting 107 days, but in the heat of the busy travel week, the weather wasn’t welcomed by all. Namely, the 2,000 travelers at an airport in Henan who broke out in “riots” after their flights were canceled due to snowy conditions.
