Earlier this week, a housing enterprise in Henan decided to throw one-hundred-thousand yuan onto the street as part of a publicity campaign, only to see much of it swept away by strong winds. This was probably a poor investment.
These photos show the huge crowd that gathered with hopes of snagging some RMB, but they don’t show many of the 1 to 100 yuan bills that poured from a second story window, because this was a terrible way to run an advertising campaign.
Almost everyone managed to walk away with a bit of cash, with the luckiest being a man surnamed Wang who grabbed nearly 3,000 yuan.
