Earlier this week, an electrical short-circuit on a pig farm in Jiangmen, Guangdong, created a massive fire that burned nearly 100 pigs in just over ten minutes, and destroyed a large swath of the unlucky farmer’s land.
Thirty farmers and villagers tried to put out the fire and save farm’s kitchen and feed storage, but the blaze was too strong.
In order to avoid any chance of an epidemic, all the dead pigs were buried on the spot. The farmer lost about 180,000 yuan.
