Two men have been arrested after attempting to smuggle more than 50 iPhones from Hong Kong into China by strapping them around their waists, which surprisingly looked really bulky and weird, according to the Guangzhou Daily.
The men only managed to get as far as the Lo Wu immigration control point (i.e. not very far at all) before an immigration officer noticed their awkward, lumbering stance when walking. One man, named Li, was discovered with 30 iPhones strapped to his waist, worth a total of 120,000 yuan. After less than half an hour, another man was discovered with 21 iPhones worth 84,000 on him.
Both men had hidden the iPhones under their waists with custom-made belts, like some kind of extremely shoddy Steve-Jobs-meets-Iron-Man.
