Two young Chinese men have reportedly scaled the Shanghai Tower, apparently after being inspired by Vadim Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov, the daredevils who made international headlines earlier this month when they climbed up the same building and captured dizzying video footage and photos of the feat.
After Makhorov and Raskalov, who make up the duo “OnTheRoofs“, pulled off the insane climb, Shanghai authorities announced that they would take measures to prevent a similar stunt from happening again. Apparently this wasn’t the case. On February 25, two unnamed Chinese men took their cameras and scaled China’s highest tower, even capturing similar shots of their legs dangling off the top.
After shooting the videos, the two young men also spent a night in the draft tube, and the next day they took a group of pictures overlooking the city.
The authenticity of the video and images have yet to be verified, and officials have made no comment yet on the event.
