A wild panda (presumably) seeking a thrill descended from the nearby mountains and ambled into a village near the city of Longnan, Gansu province to find food, apparently mistaking a local farmer’s foot for some bamboo. Aww.
Residents of the village of Liziba said they saw the panda teeter down the mountains and into their backyards on Saturday, according to the Global Times.
A local farmer named Guan Zhiquan was taking care of his crops when the panda, usually a vegetarian creature, “briefly abandoned his bamboo to chomp on Guan’s right foot instead”.
Staff members from a local animal protection station were called in to help the panda find its way back to the mountains, where it returned safely.
Pandas do no wrong in our humble opinion.
