Chinese college students have embraced cheap domestic-shipping prices and have begun shipping dirty laundry back home when cleaning time comes, according to an article in the Global Times.
“The cost of mailing clothes is cheap for students while the efficiency is high,” the article quotes a “logistics expert” who touted the fact that “mailing their dirty clothes home proves that China has made rapid progress in logistics.”
It also proves that many Chinese university students are in dire need of some self-reliance and/or washing machine tokens, as the situation has deteriorated to a point where, “most express delivery services on college campus are for college students who mail their dirty clothes home and get clean clothes back by express.”
The practice is, apparently, wide-spread and widely-accepted by both parents and students, with the exception of one poor bastard in Wuhan who sent some laundry to his ‘rents two years ago and “they refused to wash it.” Good job staying on top of this story, Global Times.
