A collaboration of Chinese netizens and media have united to ridicule the Malaysian government’s alleged employment of “witch doctors” in its search of missing flight MH370.
Ibrahim Mat Zin, a famous bomoh (shaman) was reported by Malaysian media to have been invited by one of Malaysia’s top officials to conduct a prayer at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to locate the Malaysia Airlines plane which has been missing for 6 days.
One of the statements he was quoted as saying included, “I think the plane is still in the air or has crashed into the sea”.
This was met with Weibo users demonstrating their awe at this enlightening hunch, writing “Wow, that is exactly what I think too.”
Sina News has joined the non-believers in its video footage of the prayer ceremony commenting, “They acted as they were rowing a boat”.
This arises amidst recent Chinese government condemnations of the Malaysian government’s inaction and perplexing contradictory accounts of its investigations into the affair.
But maybe in the meantime while we all still haven’t a clue about what’s happening, China should bring out the feng shui master and maybe he can enlighten us.
