A Night with Nina Simone @ ON STAGE
Apphia Campbell is taking her one-woman play, “Black is the Color of my Voice” to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. To that end, she’s revisiting the sounds of the show in two fundraising concerts this month at Red Town’s ON STAGE. Written by Campbell, “Black Is the Color of My Voice” was first performed in Shanghai in May 2013 and we also did a review. Since then, it has enjoyed critical acclaim, leading to several sold-out performances internationally and received great reviews from the media and Shanghai community. It’s a must-see show happening both Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 at On Stage.
Tickets: 200rmb (door) / 150rmb (pre-sale on Taobao / at Big Bamboo Sports Bar) // Starts at 8.30 p.m. // ON STAGE – A2-101, Red District, 570 Huaihai Xi Lu near Hongqiao Lu
