Get ready for Electric Circus, Shanghai’s first ever large-scale electronic music festival

Our friends from Collective Concepts and City Moments have announced their latest project: Electric Circus Music Festival! This huge event brings you the best names in electronic dance music united for one day within a giant indoor space, to set Shanghai on fire!
Shanghai’s first ever large-scale indoor electronic music festival happens on May 17th in Pudong at the Exhibition Center and will be a one of a kind experience in all of China.
How large? Expect crowds larger than 5.000 people and more than 8 hours of continuous beats and dance in an electric atmosphere. Their main mission is to unite people from all over the world with music from all over the world, in a one-day unforgettable indoor electronic dance festival, the biggest that China has ever seen.
What to expect from Electric Circus: imagine a giant indoor arena filled with a non-stop flow of international DJs, live electronic bands, dance and acrobatic performances. All this enhanced by an audio & visual experience combining state of the art sound-system, light installations and special effects.
Why this is not just an ordinary music festival but rather a complete musical and visual dance experience you cannot miss: the musical acts.

Cosmic Gate [Germany] – legendary electronic producers and pillars of the DJ MAG Top 100 DJs, hosting their own “Cosmic Gate stage” at some of the biggest festivals such as Ultra and EDC, they will be on their first festival appearance in China. Powered by their hugely received albums, club-rocking singles (including ‘Not Enough Time’, ‘Body of Conflict’, ‘Analog Feel’ and ‘F.A.V.’) and scene defining classics ‘Fire Wire’ and‘Exploration of Space’ their space in EDM’s hall of fame has been secured.
What we say: The Cosmic Gate have played more than 1000 nights all over the world; they will get you en trance.

Swanky Tunes [Russia] – Russia’s number 1 EDM Act supported all over the world by heavyweights such as Tiesto and David Guetta.
What we say: From ULTRA Music Festival to SENSATION these boys only play at the best events around the world, and now they are coming to Shanghai!

DJ Falcon [France] – 2014 Grammy Award Winner for the “Album of the year” in collaboration with Daft Punk. The man behind world-hits “So Much Love To Give” and “Together” co-produced with Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), Falcon has been touring the world alongside Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk “Alive Tour”, and with his friends from Ed Banger and Kitsuné. His sets are inspired by a touch of electro, old school, house classics, indie dance and new rave.
What we say: DJ Falcon (a.k.a. Stéphane Quême) is known as Bob to Daft Punk and is an old friend of the duo. He will play at Coachella this weekend (Oh, the envy!)

Nova Heart [China] – China’s most sought after electronic rock band led by the infamous Helen Feng (Pet Conspiracy, MTV host, singer of the theme song of Hollywood blockbuster Mummy III, winner of prestigious Chinese Music Awards).
They performed at China’s biggest music festivals, Zurich Street Parade, were part of a MTV China special, and played at the main stage of Clockenflap festival in HK, sharing the stage with the likes of Santigold, The Cribs, French Horn Rebellion or Bombay Bicycle Club.
What we say: In 2012 Nova Heart performed at the famous SXSW Festival in the US.

Popof [France] – Famous for his cutting edge tracks of techno mixed with a sip of tech-house, Popof is electrifying crowds all around the world. Singed with the prestigious Cocoon label his mixes are sought after by Tiesto, Benny Benassi, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Sven Väth, John Digweed, Tiga etc. Popof has now become a superstar at the level that each release gets at least into the Top 5 download lists, if not the first place.
What we say: Popof is now very in demand for his remixes. The list of them is already quite impressive; it includes famous artists such as Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Moby, Booka Shade, Vitalic, Tiga, Martin Solveig and others.

Kireek + DJ Fummi [Japan] – Kireek are the only artists in the world to have won the Team DMC World DJ Championships 5 years in a row! Their unique performance involving a variety of musical genres, club gimmicks and technical madness wows crowds all over the world at DJ competitions and big scale festivals such as the Fuji Rock Festival.
DJ FUMMI, the current Japan DMC DJ Champion is joining force with Kireek to deliver an explosive show for the first time in Shanghai!
What we say: it’s a double act!

Greg Armano [France] – France’s new prodigy DJ, artists and producer has seen a huge climb to the top last year. His hit track together with Laurent Wolf “No Stress 2014” is currently on top of the French charts and played in the best clubs around the globe. Greg’s remixes for Benny Benassi and many others are highly sought after. Find his music here.
What we say: Universal just signed him for an official remix of U2!
More local acts will be added to this already great lineup, so keep an eye on us for more names. Expect acrobats and a colossal combination of music and dance!

Presale Tickets: 250 RMB – Sales will start on April 11th until May 15th.
Door Tickets: 400 RMB – Sold on May 17th at the door – availability to be confirmed as venue capacity is limited.
